Two celebrations were organized in Bani Suef and Minia in coordination with the General Agency for Adult Education.
The first celeberation was held in Mohamed El Sharqia Community in Minia on Feb. 4th, 2014. The initiative provided specialized medical convoys in fields of (internal medicine, family planning, ophthalmology, pulmonology and osteology). These convoys were conducted in coordination with the Health and Population Directorate and the Vet Directorate in Minia. CCEOSS was honoured for its achievements in the literacy field during the recent examination period December 2013. Also 10 distinguished facilitators and supervisors of the community were honoured due to their efforts throughout the project period as well as a number of distinguished attendants.
The celebration was attended by over 1000 male and female attendants, supervisors, facilitators, members of partner organizations, local mass media representatives, local community leaders and the religious leaders. The most prominent participants in the celebration were the Deputy Manager of the General Agency for Adult Education in Cairo, undersecretary of the Minia Governorate, undersecretary of the ministry of social solidarity in Minia, and the head of the Adult Education Branch in Minia.
The second celebration was held on 21 May 2014 for 4833 graduate students of literacy classes in Beni Suef in the presence of general secretary of Beni Suef, head of the Monitoring and Evaluation unit at the General Agency for adult education and Vodafone Foundation Board member as well as CEOSS General Director and CEOSS Board chairman.
Dr. Rev. Andrea Zaki handed CEOSS plaque to Vodafone Foundation, the General Agency for Adult Education in Beni Suef in recognition of their efforts . He also honored outstanding teachers and students as well as partner associations.
