The CEOSS local development unit continues to work on achieving one of its strategic objectives. The objectives aim at improving the quality of life as well as enhancing the livelihood opportunities through sustainable and fair development of the most vulnerable areas and communities such as women, young people, people with disabilities and children at risk. Therefore, activities of the economic development program are being implemented as one of the development programs inside the development unit.
During this month the following were achieved:
- Implemented vocational training for 32 individuals (of whom 22 were young women and 10 were young men) on various vocations such as (mobile maintenance, computer maintenance, hair dressing and female accessories). This aimed at empowering them to get indulged in the labour force and launch small projects to generate their income and provide them with decent life.
- Recruited 146 people (of whom 94 were young men and 52 were young women) either through training them or directly employing them without training. This took place through linking the available jobs requirements and young people skills.
