CEOSS’ Agriculture programs, as part of the local development unit, aim to improve the quality of life of small farmers, breeders, and fishermen in the governorates of Minya, Beni Suif, and Qalubyia. Through the development of rural areas and the empowerment of small farmers, breeders, and fishermen, communities are able to achieve positive social change, environmental standards, and build stronger societies.
- 28 small farmers (24 men and 4 women) joined local small farmers’ associations.
- 47 women started agricultural initiatives, including breeding chickens, milk separating, breeding goats and sheep, and selling fruits and vegetables.
- 348 small farmers (337 men and 11 women) had their capacities built regarding sustainable farming practices and marketing their crops.
- 279 farmers participated in trainings to raise their awareness of positive agricultural practices.
