CEOSS’ Economic Development Program aims to improve the quality of life of all Egyptians, particularly Egyptians in the most vulnerable and marginalized communities. The initiatives and projects that make up the Economic Development Program work to empower women, youth, people with disabilities, and children at risk. This program uses sustainable and responsible development practices in combination with strong partnerships with local communities to provide economic opportunities and training to those in greatest need.
- 105 young people (61 women, 44 men) received management skills training which included sales, marketing, how to write a CV, how to conduct an interview, how to identify available job opportunities, effective communication skills, computer skills, and clerical skills.
- 484 unemployed persons (283 women, 101 men) received training related to various handicrafts such as sewing, hairdressing, computer maintenance, and mobile phone maintenance.
- 630 people (256 women, 374 men) found employment through training and networking opportunities.
