CEOSS continued to implement activities of Combating the Worst Forms of Child Labour Project in the agricultural field in Minia Governorate. The economic empowerment component was implemented through providing administrative training for the children’s mothers on how to select and manage new income generating projects. This aimed at protecting children from dropping out of education and being engaged at Labour market. Children were enrolled to lending agencies where 40 children’s mothers received loans and opened projects such as trading of dates – vegetables and fruits – readymade clothes – poultry – clover – garments –butter –breeding goats).
Through the project of Securing a Decent Life in Cairo which aims at protecting the children’s interests and improving their living conditions, work has taken place to empower the children at risk and ensure their access to their rights. The elected committee of the working children in El Salam City signed two cooperation protocols with the medical administration and the social affairs administration in El Salam City.
In order to activate this protocol 25 of the children’s families received their social and economic rights (solidarity pensions, food supply cards, clean water and electricity, widows’ pensions, social aids …etc.)
