CEOSS designed websites and electronic systems through the Employment Project in order to assist young people in allocating job vacancies and improving their income levels.
The Beehive is an electronic website that was designed by CEOSS during the project of “Employment through Technology”. The website was designed to cover the various development programs (health, education, agricultural marketing, housing and environment, and employment). The site mainly relies upon providing development experiences to the civil society organizations, and presenting the distinct achievements of the development programs. However, it basically helps young people to find appropriate jobs through publishing the job vacancies daily on the website. About 550,000 young men and women have visited the web site since the beginning of its operation. The website is http://egypt.thebeehive.org
The website provides young people with opportunities to upload interventions and written dialogues. The site admin replies and interacts with these interventions.
The Souq Tel system is a short messaging service in which young people can register themselves on the system by dialling 6062, and then the system sends them messages to register themselves and their CVs. After finishing registration, a password number is sent to the young people. This number provides them with company data and available job vacancies for the young people. This enables them to select the most appropriate jobs for them.
Currently, around 6000 young men and women are registered on the system, besides 500 companies recorded their data on the system. This service enables CEOSS to conduct surveys on young people towards a specific issue, in addition to marketing some services and raising awareness towards certain issue. This can be achieved by sending messages to a group of targeted people on their mobiles.
It is worth mentioning that the Employment Project is considered one of the projects that are being implemented by CEOSS. These projects aim at reducing the unemployment rates that have lately increased due to the current events experienced by the Egyptian community. This project is implemented in Minia, Beni Suef, Cairo and Qalubeyia.
