“Education is Power” Initiative
9162 learners have passed the final tests of the General Organization for Adult Education and these are divided into 5368 male learners and 3794 female learners, thus reaching a total of 22898 learners who have successfully passed the test of the General Organization for Adult Education.
- 659 learners have passed the fourth stage thus reaching a total number of 35998 learners who have successfully passed the stage tests since the beginning of the initiative.
- A graduation ceremony has been organized for 15000 learners who have successfully completed their education in Cairo, Qalyoubia, and Giza Governorates during the month of July.
- Due to the belief in community participation and joint efforts in working on the literacy issue in partnership with the National Council for Women, Beni-Suef Branch, 142 national identity cards have been issued for 17 male and 125 female citizens in order to help learners to participate in the final tests of the General Organization for Adult Education. Moreover, 400 application forms have been distributed to learners in Qalyoubia through the National Council for Women.
- Within the framework of integrating different CEOSS programs, coordination was established with the health program to conduct health convoys in Qalyoubia and Cairo. 1162 learners in the adult education classes benefitted from the free eye examinations. The convoy also provided 82 eye glasses for the learners and provided treatment among them for free as well as performing 4 surgeries.
Project for Developing Poor and Marginalized Communities and Supporting Small Initiatives and Empowering Civil Society Organizations:
Contracts with 2 non-governmental organizations in Cairo and Beni-Suef have been finalized as well as 1 unofficial entity within the framework of implementing initiatives in formal and informal education.
