179 low income families in 7 communities inside Minia and Beni Suef communities built and developed their houses. The project is run by local committees that are composed of those interested in the housing issue as well as the representatives of the partner civil society organizations in these districts.
Among the concerns of these committees were to reach the neediest groups of the project and setting priorities for these categories. Also, one of the committee roles is to implement some services for the houses of the ultra poor. Consequently, during this month CEOSS improved the houses of 13 poor families by providing them with some basic services such as clean water, wooden doors and windows. This was implemented through activating the available resources of these communities such as the contributions of the private sector and owners of shops and supplies.
