The Young Academics Program of CEOSS FID is holding four workshops under the title: “The role of Young Academics in the development of Young Academics Program in a post- revolutionary context”. The implementation of these workshops is in the provinces in which the program operates, namely: Cairo, Alexandria, Minia and Beni Suef. The aim of these workshops is to involve about 100 academics in the assessment and planning for the Young Academics Program, which is run by CEOSS FID, within the framework of the post- revolution June 30, 2013. Each workshop is divided into two sessions. The first session includes two academics presenting two papers on the role of the Forum in the development of skills of academics in social and political life. In the second session participants discuss their expectations and vision of the program, especially in light of the current changes and challenges.
The FID began holding these workshops since December 2013 and will continue until January 2014. The first workshop was held in Cairo on Monday, December 9, 2013; and the second was in Alexandria on Friday, December 20, 2013. In these two workshops participants presented their assessment of the academics program and they also proposed some practical ideas for the development of the program. The third workshop will be held in Beni Suef on Friday, January 17, 2014; and the final will be held on Friday, January 24, 2014. Finally a meeting will be held to analyze the output of these workshops and to study ways of implementing the proposals of young academics.
