CEOSS organized a training for 777 mothers of working children during January 2014 in Tala Community in Minia with the aim of empowering them economically through the activities of combating the worst forms of child labour in agricultural field project. The training also aimed at improving women’s efficiency to establish income generating projects so that they could improve their economic conditions. This could be highly reflected upon their children and protect them from dropping out of schools and engaging in the labour market.
administrative trainings were conducted addressing project management skills, how to select a project and implement a feasibility study, marketing, and how to calculate the profit. The total number of implemented trainings since the beginning of the project till December 2013(the period of 13 months) was 32 trainings for 777 women.
During January 2014, 22 women in Tala Community implemented economic projects, so that the total number of women who started their projects since the beginning of the project and till 31st of January 2013 is 261 women. The ratio of women who have projects reached 33 % of the total number of women who received trainings such as (project of raising poultry, selling vegetables, selling spices, selling frozen stuff, patisserie, liquid detergents, raising goats, and raising ducks).
