CEOSS, in partnership with Vodafone Egypt, worked to improve public perception of 25 elementary schools in Sohag, Gerga, and Akhmim. Utilizing the integrated development approach, the project empowers students and improves the environmental conditions of these schools. Numerous local partner organizations have been established in the working communities under the direction of the Ministry for Social Solidarity.
- 3,79 children (1,818 girls and 1,978 boys) participated in athletic extracurricular programs.
- 4 schools received training related to mainstreaming children with disabilities.
- 25 primary school principals and 3 head masters participated in a cooperative planning meeting in Sohag.
- A baseline study in adult illiteracy was conducted in partnership with 8 NGOs and 3 learning centers to begin to address the issue of adult illiteracy in Sohag.
